NCL is designed as a small group leadership program whose membership is in part based on the availability of space in the daughter’s grade level. Keeping the grade levels small is key to the program’s success. For membership eligibility, the daughter (Ticktocker) must be in grades 7, 8 or 9 the following September. While some Chapters allow Ticktockers to join in the 10th grade, it is not typical. Openings in all classes above 7th grade are at the discretion of the Chapter, and largely based on attrition.
How the Program Works
1. Applications for membership shall be accepted only during the annual membership selection period. The membership drive period runs from November 10, 2013 to February 3, 2014.
2. Prospective members shall be sponsored by Active members and co-sponsored by Provisional and Sustainer members in good standing in the Chapter the Prospective member wishes to join. The sponsor should have known the Prospective member personally for a minimum of one (1) year.
3. Selection is based upon compatibility to the membership.
4. Prospective members shall reside or attend school in the Westside area.
If you meet these membership requirements please contact us to complete the required paperwork and continue with the membership process. Please understand that there is no guarantee or obligation of membership by submitting your paperwork. The Membership VP will be in touch with you regarding the possibilities of membership, if any.
Thank you for your interest in NCL and in becoming a member of our Chapter.
